New Model 1859 Sharps Carbine with nice action, visible maker mark, patent marks, and still has rifling. This New Model 1859 Sharps Carbine no doubt saw service and fired in anger. This New Model 1859 Sharps Carbine in my opinion was ordered by the State of Georgia. Only 3000 made of this model and majority bought by Georgia to arm their troops. This carbine is out of a collection of historical artifacts. The owner passed away unexpectedly, and I bet he had history on this carbine that is now lost to time. This New Model 1859 Sharps Carbine exhibits honest usage associated with Confederate service. No federal cartouches on the original stock. There is a replaced barrel band spring and the stock has some minor wood repairs. Both repairs are expected for a Confederate used carbine. I love this example and displays with the Rebel Yell without the 30K check. Truly just as Confederate used as a 30K Southern made for a fraction of the price.
