Ainsworth Single Action Army Revolver with all matching serial numbers but, the backstrap. The serial number is close and probably a field repair from a damaged revolver. This Ainsworth Single Action Army Revolver has a field shortened barrel from factory 7 1/2" inch barrel to 4 1/4" inches. This Ainsworth Inspected Colt very well could have been one of the nickel-plated revolvers issued to the Native American Scouts. This Ainsworth Single Action Army Revolver was produced in 1874 and no doubt helped make the Wild West Wild, laugh out loud. Notice the tally marks on the wood grips.
