The 1861 production date, honest usage, lanyard alteration, and surfaced in Virginia with oral history of Va. Cav. usage. I bought this Colt Revolver from another dealer who picked it originally. I love this Colt Revolver and is truly a "CONFEDERATE REVOLVER" for the collector on a budget. I would bet my last dollar this Colt Revolver dismounted some invading blue bellies from their horse. The action is crisp and barrel address is strong. All matching serial numbers and gorgeous walnut grips. The lanyard alteration will make a New Jersey Yankee Rebel Yell.
